・ A bowl for soup. ・ Wajima-nuri (a type of Japanese lacquerware from Wajima, Ishikawa) uses natural materials. Using Japanese wood (zelkova) and diatomaceous earth from Wajima as base materials, the product is all natural, right down to the lacquer and pigments. From the bare wood to polishing and finishing, they are all made by hand by craftsmen. ・ Lacquer is made from sap of a wax tree, and it takes about 20 years before the tree is mature for harvesting. The lacquer made from the sap of the wax tree has strong adhesive, anti-bacterial properties and the color and gloss unique to lacquer are not seen in other materials. - Base of the bowl is designed to be slightly higher than normal soup bowls. This is to improve your grip on the bowl with your fingers when you hold the bowl. - A total of 17 colors.
